Essex) refusing to accept a resolution proposed by Cr Haydon on the: "%-round that it reflected on the Mayor. The meeting held last Tuesday closed with affaira at a deadlock, and to-day the Finance Committee refused to sit, and no money . was passed for payment, with the-result that al the borough employeesjiava received no wages. ."gjkfrMayor addressed the employeesjwvlaining the situation, and it is booed that affairs will right themselves at a special meeting called for Tuesday next.
