Received January 16, 8.48 a.m. VANCOUVER, January 15. The City Council desires to disarm Japanese residents. (About ten days ago it was reported that a number of Japanese had attacked three firemen, one of whom had accidentally broken a window in the Japanese quarter of Vancouver, and wounded the three—one seriously. It was thought in some quarters that the incident indicated / that the Japanese are resentful over , the September rioting, and eager to take advantage of any opportunity of securinc revenge.)
