Charge of Assault
NAPIER, January 14. George Adams was, to-day, committed for trial on a charge of asaulting Frederick Edmonds with intent to do him grievous bodily harm. The evidence showed that after a few words between the pair atthel'ear of the Criterion Hotel, Adams seized an axe and endeavoured to strike Edmonds, missing his neck by a couple of inches.
