CONVEYANCE OF MAILS.
BETWEEN CANADA AND AUSTRALIA.
Received January 13, 10.21 p.m. LONDON, January 13. Reuter's correspondent at Ottawa says that it is officially stated that the. Union Steamship Company of New Zealand declined the previous terms for the conveyance of mails between Australia and Canada. The Commonwealth and Canada declined to increase the subsidy. Probably the service will be continued tentstively by the present contractors until negotiations for an All Red service are settled.
