METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 a.m. yesterday Captain Edwin issued the following forecast for the subsequent 24 hours: Wind—Moderate to strong from the south-east genearlly. Barometer Fall slowly at all places northward of Napier and New Plymouth, but rising after 1G hours; rise slowly everywhere else. Rain—There are indications of rain between East Cape and Gisborr.e. Warning signal for easterly gale is exhibited at East Cape.
