IRISHIPEASANTS OBJECT. A POLICE ESCORT INTIMIDATED. LONDON, January 10. Peasants at Zeevagh (?\ in the mountains of Sligo, prevented a postman delivering registered letters containing processes to tenants on two estates who had refused to pry their rents. Two hundred police escorted the postman, hut withdrew owing to the threatening attitude of the peasants.
