METEOROLOGICAL.
Captain Edwin issued the following forecast at 9 a.m. yesterday for the subsequent 24 hours: — Wind.-Moderate to strong from the southward at all places north of East Cape, Taupo, and Raglan, but from the westward thence to Napier; strong to gale from the northward after ten to sixteen hours thence to Hokitika and Kaikoura, and earlier elsewhere. Barometer—Little movement northward of Napier and New Plymouth; fall everywhere else. Rain —There are some indications for rain in the southernmost districts. Warning signal for northerly gale is exhibited at Nugget Point, and will be shown after sunrise at Capes Foulwind, Campbell, and Farewell Spit.,
