A MOB FOILED. TEN THOUSAND PERSONS OUT r OF WORK. Received January 10, 8 a.m.. LONDON, January 9, A mob of unemployed were foiled while attempting to invade the Birmingham Council House, and capture and fasten the Mayor to a pillar outside, because -he had declined to enforce the Unemployed Act on the ground that distress was not acute. There ;iru ten thousand unemployed in Glat-'gow.
