Hon. J. McGowan on Tour.
TAURANGA, January 9. The Hon. J. McGowan arrived here last night, having travelled duringthe day from Rotorua, via Paengaroa and Te Puke. In the evening the Minister received deputations from the county and borough councils and railway league, which'.advocated principally assistance for roads and bridges, completion of the Kaimai Road and connection with the railway system. The Minister was accompanied by Mr Matthews (private secretary), Mr Hamer (Under-Secre-tary for Mines), and Mr Hannah (Public Works Engineer, Rotorua). The party left for Waihi this morning.
