RIOTING IN NEW YORE.
THE RENT STRIKE. Received January 8, 8.38 a.m. NEW YORK, January. 7. The rent strike has developed into serious rioting, during which many persons were injured. Three hundred tenants have been evicted. (Over ten thousand tenants arp said to They refuse to pay their* rents unless substantial reductions are made, and the landlords, it is reported, have threatened to evict the whole of them).
