CANNIBALS, ATTACK EXPLORERS. TWENTY-FIVE NATIVES KILLED. Received January 7, 10 a.m. BRUSSELS, January 6. Advice has been received that explorers in the employ of Ryan and Gugghenheim's International Rubber Corporaton at Rasai, on the Congo, had a severe encounter with cannibals armed with flintlocks. Twenty-five natives, including five of the party's porters, were killed. A Belgian detachment fought the cannibals for a whole day. The explorers retired.
