Child Burned to Death.
PALMERSTON N., January 5. A child of three years old, named Kirkpatrick, was burned to death through playing with matches. She had been put in a room to sleep, but it is supposed she got up and got some matches out of some clothes in the room. She was suffocated and badly burned, only living for about an hour after the accident.
