LABOUR M.P. AND THE ARMY.
A LABOUR MEMBER'S OPINION. LONDON, January 3. Mr Will Thorne,~ Labour M.P. for West Ham, declined an invitation to join the Earl of Warwick, Lord Lieuttenant of Essex, to form an Essex Army Committee, on the ground that he considers the new Army Act a disguised form of compulsory service.
