SAVES 1500 LIVES. CAUSE OF SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. Received January 2, 9.57 p.m. LONDON, January 2. General Booth's report claims that the anti-Suicide Bureau in 1907 saved 1,500 persons from self-destruction in London. Of the male applicants, 54 per cent, pleaded financial embarrassment or poverty, 11 per cent, drink, drugs and disease, and 9 per cent, melancholia.
