INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS.
TREMENDOUS UPROAR. SITTING SUSPENDED. Received December 27, 9.26 p.m. BOMBAY, December 27. Seven thousand persons were present at the opening of the Indian National Congress at Surat, including 2,000 delegates. The Extremists interrupted the speakers, who were counselling moderation in local matters. A tremendous uproar followed on the nomination of Arabinda Ghose as President, chiefly on the part of Bengalese. Ultimately the sitting was suspended.
