BURGLARIES IN NEW YORK. BIG SUM INVOLVED. Received December 27. 7.34 a.m. NEW YORK, December 26. Burglaries in New York during 1907 involved a loss of £3,200,000. including £700,000 during the last sixty days. The wave of crime also reached the highest mark on record in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Chicago and Boston. This was attributed to the unusual number of unemployed in these cities.
