THE DRUCE CASE.

CALDWELL ARRESTED. IN ; A BAD STATE OF HEALTH. Received December 23, 8.15 a.m. NEW YORK, December 22. Upon arrival in New York, Robert Caldwell was arrested on charges of conspiracy and perjury in connection with the Deuce case. He stated that he was suffering from Bright's disease, and the court appointed doctors, who reported that he was desperately ill, whereupon bail was fixed at 5,000 dollars. Caldwell was remanded till January, bail being furnished.
