ANOTHER AMERICAN FRAUD.
A DEACON ROBS A CHURCH AND BANK. ARRESTED IN A MEXICAN MINE. NEW YORK, December 20. William Walker, a deacon of an aristocratic Baptist church, and treasurer of the New Britain (Connecticut) Savings Bank, has been arrested.
He was found working in a Mexican mine,after absconding with £122,000, the funds of the church and bank.
