Captain Edwin wired at 9 a.m. yesterday as follows Wind. —Strong to gale from, the northward atter 20 hourr, at all places in the North Island westward of East Cape, Taupo, and Napier, and after 12 hours in the South Island generally. Barometer. Fall everywhere. Rain is probable in parts of Otago and on the west coast of the South Island, also northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Manukau Heads. Warning signals for northerly gale are exhibited at Capes Campbell, Farewell Spit, and Nugget Point, and will be shown after sunrise at Cane Maria Van Dieman and Tiritiri.
