The following additional officers have been appointed to carry out arrangements in connection with the Friendly Societies' sports, to be held at Carterton on Boxing Day:—Starter and judge, Messrs M. Johnson arid J. Johnson, respectively; auditor, Mr R. J. Chapman; weight-guessing ticket-sellers, Messrs R. Carton and A. Petersen; post-entry clerk, Mr E. De Lacey; supervisors of obstacle race, Messrs F. Jackson and E. Wallis; supervisor of tilting event, Mr W. Stevens; handicappcrs for members' race and' high jump. Messrs G. Stove, Johnson and F.
