METEOROLOGICAL.
At 9 o'clock yesterday morning, Captain Edwin issued the following report:— Wind—Moderate to strong from the westward at all places northward of East Cape, Tauranga, and Raglan; gale from same direction after 24 hours, thence southward to Napier; galo from the northward after ten to sixteen hours all other parts of the North Island, but from the westward and sooner in the South Island. Barometer—Fall slowly northward of Napier and New Plymouth; fall soon thence to Kaikoura and Hokjtika; further fall everywhere'else. Rain is probable soon southward of Westport and Lyttelton, and. after 16 to 20 hours thence northward to Napier. Warning signal for northerly gale is exhibited at Capes Farewell, Foulwind and Campbell, and for westerly gale at Nugget Point.
