Ward told an interviewer that he was urging the Pacific Board 'to reduce the charges on press wires to fourpence per wordi ■ The High Commissioner had suggested a wireless system between England, Canada and New Zealand, and the Government was quite willing to cooperate with the Federal Government in the matter. Representations made by him were now under the consideration of the Pacific Cable Board. The Government was prepared to make all arrangements for goods intended for the Franco-British Exhibition at Sheppard's Bush, England, to be forwarded at a minimum cost to exhibitors. The representation boundaries as fixed by the commission, added Sir Joseph Ward, would stand. Personally the Premier was favourable to the census only being taken every ten years, but this was a matter' for the consideration of Cabinet.
