RACING.

TURF NOTES. (By Zetland). At the Opaki course, yesterday 'morning, a number of horses executed serviceable work. Those engaged at the Feilding meeting this week were sent along in earnest, and, judging by the form displayed, may race prominently there. Royal Blue was isent twice round over the jump?, -which he negotiated carefully. Gaelic went round once at a slow pace, and Lucretius brushed over a mile in good style. The Petroleum mare in R. Knox's team handled herself well ■over a round 011 the plough. Sandix, Blue Ribbon and Oblivion were indulged in fast work. Riflemaid and .San Julie were associated in a gallop of a mile. Very fair time was legistered. Moloch and Aberration were together over a similar distance. .Both these horses are showing improvement on- their form of a few ■weeks back. .Gawain galloped a tas six furlongs in a resolute mannei, and Dulcinea was sent a strong working gallop. Other horses worked were Mahuta, Lochiela, Russley Man., Over Rate, Osiris, Full Report, bharkeyn, Thera, Sun Bonnet, and* Hmerangi. , , At the Blenheim meeting, last week, Tiwha was the only Wairarapa owned horse that competed. He won a race each cay, good divi being paid out. A number of Masterton sports participated in the good prices.
