SUPREME COURT SITTINGS.
BY TELEGRAPH— PUESS ASSOCIATION, WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, November 25. In the Supreme Court, to-day, William Joseph Lawe and John Cornelius Robinson were each sentenced to three yea;V imprisonment on a charge of assault and robbery at Feilding. A decree absolute was made by Mr Justice Button in the divorce case of Slade v. Siade, husband's petition. James McAllion pleaded not guilty to a charge of having attempted to murder James Jackson Smith at Wellington on October 30th. . Accused was found guilty o? common assault, and was remanded for sentence. Waka Waka Hepere, a Maori, aged 15 years, charged with having criminally assaulted a European girl, aged 15 years, was found guilty of an indecent assault and remanded for sentence.
AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, November 25. At the Supreme Court, this afternoon, Richard Hai'land, who was convicted last week on a charge of having committed an offence upon his niece, a girl nnderthe age of 16, was sentenced to 2| years imprisonment.
