BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION. OHISTOHURCH," November 20. At the Addington live stock market to-day there was a fairly large entry of stock, and a good attendance. Fat cattle were a shade easier. Fat lambs sold well, export buyers operating for the first time at the yards this season. Store sheep were not quite so easy to sell, and there was a decline in all classes of pigs.
The yarding of store sheep was a small one, and the demand was not quite so brisk as of late. A line of 228 shorn 2 tooths sold at lis 9d, 68 at 12s, 55 at 12s lOd, 353 4tooth shorn wethers 16s 6d, 91 4 and 6-tooth woolly ewes and lambs 14s 9d, 197 shorn ewes and lambs 7sJjft, all counted. There were about 600 fat lambs penned, and with the exception of a few pens the quality was really good. Several' of the export buyers were operating, the prices they paid ranging from 16s 5d to 19s 2d. Lighter lambs sold from 14s upwards.
There was a fairly large yarding of fat sheep, nearly all shorn, and there was a good proportion of wethers. The market opened well. The supply of beef total'ed 282 head the bulk being of prime quality. The market was easier than of late in consequence of supplies becoming more plentiful. Steers brought £8 to £l2 12s 6d, heifers £5 17s 6cl to £8 10s, cows £4 17s Gd to 7 £l7s 6d, equal to 28s to 31s for extra prime, 25s to 27s 6d for prime, and 21s to 24s for cows and medium quality per 1001b. The'number of pigs entered was not so large as last week, and there was an all-round decline. Baconers ranged from 55s to 75s (equal to s£d per lb), porkers 36s to 52s (equal to s£d to 6d), large stores 35s to 455, medium 25s to 325, weaners 18s to 245.
