Hull always had the reputation of putting good teams in the field, and have this season played with remarkable success. .Twelve thousand spectators witnessed the match. The play was brilliant and exciting throughout. At half time the score was: — New Zealand (two goals three tries) 13. . Hull (goal and try) 5. Wynyard scored twice. Hull continued to~put up a sterling fight in the second half but New Zealand held their own. The final score was:—• New Zealand (three goals four tries) 18. , Hull (two goals three tries) 13.
