PERSONAL.
Mr T. Boyd, manager of the Pahiatua branclj of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., received word on Wednesday last of the death at Balclutha of his sister. Mr Boyd left the same afternoon for Balclutha to attend the funeral. Mr Green, who has been on the staff of the Carterton branch of the Bank of New Zealand for some timo, left yesterday afternoon for Wellington. Mr H. Price, who has been on the staff or the Masterton post office for the past 15 years, has been transferred to Pahiatua. Mr Price will be succeeded here by Mr G. Apperley, of Palmerston North. Mr E. P. Fowler, of Masterton, has been Gazetted a district valuer.
