CARTERTON.
From Our Own Correspondent. Friday. The Carterton," Greytown, Featberston, and Dalefield Methodist Sunday Schools will be represented at the annual Sunday School Teachers' Convention to be held in Masterton on Monday. Record entries are being received for the Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Society's show. The local Sunday Schools will probably not reopen for another fortnight on account of the prevalence of scarlet fever. Mrs Traff, of Wellington, is at present on a visit to Carterton. The wool season is now weli advanced. A large quantity of: wool is being railed daily from the local railway station to Wellington. A wedding of considerable local interest will be celebrated in a few days, when a well-known Carterton solicitor will be married to a Christchurch lady. A tennis club has been formed in Carterton, and is to be known as the Tararua Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. The club is to be affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association.
