BOWLING.
CARTERTON CLUB
An enjoyable time was spent by bowlers in the Carterton Bowling Club's green yesterday afternoon. The green was in excellent order. Three games were played. The following are the results:— J. Oates, B. Scannel, J. M. Lighfoot, A. Bish (skip) 18, v. F. Cive, jnr., W. Parker, W. H. Booth, Leach (skip), 19. W. Irvine, A. J. Dudson, A. Philpotts, W. J. Lindop (skip), 18, v. R. King, W. Toomath, G. Y. Canton, L. Nix (skip), 27. D. Reid, Steer, E. Eagle, sen., J. Baillie I (skip), 27, v. H.McPhee, Gillespie,. W. Moore, A. Ramsay (skip), 7. During the afternoon tea was pro- ' vided by a committee of ladies.
