. « The death occurred, at Pahiatua, on Monday night last, of Mr W. McGuire, photographer. The deceased was 46 years of age, and was highly respected. Heart disease was the cause of death. Mr A, McLeod, of Martinborough, intends to make an extended tour of England shortly. Dr. Johnston has returned to Carterton, much benefited in health after his holiday. It is probable that Dr. Reeve, who has been relieving Dr. Johnston, will take up his permanent residence in Carterton., Rev. A. T. Thompson and Mr H. T. Wood are representing Knox Church, Masterton, at the New Zealand Presbyterian Assembly now sitting in Wellington.
