Steady rain fell all the afternoon, but.the weather is clearing and promises to be fine for Cup day. The city is crowded with visitors. There is no great amount of wagering over the Cup, for which the latest quotations are :~2 to 1 against Apologue, 5 to 1 Poseidon, 7 to 1 Mooltan, 8 to 1 Welcome Trist and Mountain King, 10 to 1 Dyed Garments, 14 to 1 Tartan, 20 to 1 Spinaway and Lady Diffidence, 25 to 1 Peru and Tulkeroo. 33 to 1 Melodrama.
