Received November 1, 8.42 a.m. BOMBAY, October 31. ••■ The Government of Bengal has warned the Government of India that the situation might easily become very serious, and there would he grave trouble if the example of respectable people, like the recent rioters, who were incited by agitators, is imitated by the naturally turbulent classes. t . The Lieutenant-Governor thiaksit imperative that the Government' should take power to stop violent speaking and writing, ; designed to bring constituted authority into contempt, and to encourage resistance to the police.
