THE ANGLICAN SYNOD.
By Telegraph —Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 28. In opening the Anglican Synod, this afternoon, the Primate, in his opening address, referred to the PanAnglican Congress, and stated that it was not his intention to visit England. He suggested that a commencement might be made with the Cathedral building here in 1910, and urged that the clergy should be allowed to enjoy the general prosperity by an increase in their stipends.
