THE BERLIN SENSATION.

' COUNT MOLTKE PUBLICLY HOOTED. Received October 28, 8.52 a.m. BERLIN, October 27. The winding-up defence of Herr Harden, defendant in the liber case, aroused cheers in court. Count Moltke was greeted with groans and cat-calls in the streets. Judgment will be given on Tuesday. THE EULENBURG CLIQUE. HERK HARDEN'S INDICTMENT. Received October 2'B, 11.34 p.m. BERLIN, October 28. Count Moltke has protested that his friendship with Count Eulenburg was above suspicion. He declared that he retired from the commandantship with honour. Herr Harden, in a two hours' speech, made a remarkable political and moral indictment against the Count Eulenburg clique. He emphasised the fact that the Crown Prince told the Kais:r one day about the current reports, and that Count Moltke resigned the next day. Herr Harden declared that four Chancellors tried but failed to eliminate Count Eulenburg's influence. Herr Harden stated that Lecomte, a Councillor of the French Embassy, who was one of Count Eulenburg's clique, tried to arrange a meeting between the Kaiser and the French President on a pretext that reconciliation was possible. The Kaiser spent an hour or two at Liedenberg Castle, talking with Count Eulenburg. Lecomte, though a friend of Count Eulenburg, asserted that they only talked art and French literature.
