CLEARING OF THE AIR. UNITED STATES FLEET TO RETURN TO ATLANTIC. Received October 27, 4.17 p.m. NEW YORK, October 26. According to the New York Tribune, President Roosevelt, in response to inquiry by friends, made it clear that his wish and expectation is that the fleet will return to the Atlantic after two or three months stay in the Pacific. The announcement is interpreted to mean that the visit of Mr W. H. Taft, United States Minister of W[ar, to Tokio, has led to a wel come clearing of the air.
