MASTERTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
MEETING OF MANAGERS. A meeting of managers of the Masterton Technical School was held last evening, there being present:— Messrs W. H. Jackson (chairman), J. M. Coradine, and F. H. Waddington. The treasurer reported a dr. balance of £46 8s 4d. An application was received from Mr O. Byatt for a position cn the staff of the school to teach such subjects as painting, embossing, sign-writing, etc. It was resolved to inform the writer that his application would receive consideration when the classes were being reorganised at the beginning of next year. The W.F.G.A. wrote forwarding the promised, donation of £SO to-' wards the funds of the proposed new technical school. A vote of thanks was accorded to the W.F.C.A. The Managers decided to thank the Trust Lands Trustees for lease of a site fir the proposed new school. The managers also expressed their appreciation of the action of the Trustees in deciding to grant an extension of land if required. It was resolved,to raise the salary of Miss Johnstone, instructress of the dressmaking class, by £3 in consideration of the fact that the class had largely increased. Accounts amounting to £l2 15s 8d were passed for payment.
