NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 24. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union, tonight, decided to inform affiliated unions that it is not illegal to pay referees for Joss of time, but referees receiving payment will thereafter be debarred from playing football. The committee refused a request by a player disqualified for life by the Taranaki Union that the matter should be reconsidered.
