Messrs Arbaham and Williams, Ltd., report on their P.F.A. sale on Tuesday last as follows:—A good yarding of sheep came forward, mostly ewes and lambs. We quote: —Ewes ar.d lambs 225, 23s 6d, 24s 6d to '26s 3d, hoggets (fair mixed sexes) 14s 5d to 15s Bd. Cattle Springing cows £2 10g, heifers ard calves £4, forward cows £3. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:— At Pahiatua, on Tuesday, sheep were represented by ewes and lambs, which lines were well competed for. The cattle pens were well filled with all classes of good quality, bidding for which was very spirited, a clearance being effected. At Masterton on Wednesday we had a fair entry in sheep with a few pens of prime mutton. The quality all through was good and medium, and competition brisk, only one small lot failing to sell. A few small lots of store cattle offered," those selling making fair prices. At Pahiatua Ewes and lambs up to 2s, grown steers £5 ss, 3-vears £4 15s, good 2years £3 17s 6d, 18-mcnths 555, yearlings 30s to 40s, heifers 335, |L cows from 30s. At Masterton—Ewes lambs 20s to 265, empty ewes 15s 6d, hoggets 16s to 18s. fat wethers 24 b, heavy fat ewes 245, medium ewes 19s 9d, good shorn wethers 17s 6d, dairy heifers 555, small beef £5, -vveaner pigs 12s 6d to 16s, harness rn are £ls.
