TROTTING.

As the annual meeting of the Masterton Trotting CluD draws noarer, the number of horses training on the Showgrounds eacn evening increases. The horses that were out last evening were:—Captain Spec, Tai (pony), Apology, Pojt Boy, Giggles, Miss Lynne, Maud, and Bluebell. The last two mentioned cue out some very good times, and the' others put up creditable performances. In the opinion of onlookers Bluebell should improve with a lighter sulky behind her. The track is in fair order, but should be.greatly improved when it has been rolled' and top-dressed in parts.
