FIRE ON A SCHOONER.
A SECOND OUTBREAK. By Telegraph—Press Association. , AUCKLAND, October 21. Another fire broke out on the auxiliary schooner Endeavour, lying at tho Hobson Street Wharf, shortly after 1 o'clock, yesterday morning. The fire, which was located in the cabin, had gained a (inn hold, but after a considerable quantity of water had been poured into the vessel, the flames were extinguished. The damage is estimated at considerably over £IOO, the cabin being completely ruined. It may be remembered that about the same hour on Sunday week a lire occurred on the same vessel, when the major portion of the cabin was destroyed. During the week the carpenters had been engaged on the vessel and they had nearly completed the work. The police have the matter in hand.
