Messrs Dalgety, and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable advices from their London office, dated the 17th in-stant:—Butter-The market is very firm and the Copenhagen official quotation is higher by 4 kroners (about 4s 6d) per cwt. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending *he -12 th inst. amounted to 62,000cwt, as compared with 73,000cwt. for the corresponding week of 1906. Frozen Meat—Fair demand for lamb. The decrease in prices has not improved the demanJ. River. Plate mutton of good quality is ottering at low prices. Beef—Market dull. Our! Quotations for New Zealand frozen moat' are:—Prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy weights, sd; light, s§d; Nortn Island lamb, heavy, 4£d; light weights, sd; prime crospfttcd mutton, Canterbury, heavy wei£fflfc, 3|d; light, 3|d: North Island mutton, heavy weights, 3|d; light, 3£d; prime ox beef, fores,. 2fcd: hinds, 3|d per lb. Rabbit Skins —At to-day's sales there is so far good demand for rabbit skins in general. Prices are, on the average, unchanged. Two thousand four hundred and ninety-fo'ir bales offered; 2 388 sold 'Tallow—Since our last telegram, prices for - tallow in general are 6d per cwt higher.
