TARATAHI-CARTERTON RACING CLUB.

MONTHLY MEETING. (From Our Carterton Correspondent.) The monthly meeting of the Stewards of the Taratahi-Carterton Racing Club was held at Carterton on Saturday last. There were present —Messrs G. W. Deller, (chairman), H. McPhee, L. Nix, W. J. Denbee, T. Ray, H. H. Wolters, T. G. Firman, A. Daysh, HJk.'.H. Franks, and J. Hodder. An apology for absence was received from Mr Oates. Mr Lightfoot tendered his resignation as a member, which was received with regret. Mr H. Rayner was appointed a Steward in place of Mr Lightfoot* ard Mr S. C. Skclly was also ap< pointed a Steward. - Two new members were elected. It was resolved that complimentary tickets for the forthcoming meeting should be sent to officials of all lha Wairarapa Racing Clubs. The following appointments of Stewards for the annual meeting were made:—Gates, Messrs Deller, Nix, Franks and Wolters; hurdles, Messrs A. Daysh, J. Hodder, H. Rayner and W. J. Denbee, luncheon, Mr G. W. Deller; placed horses, Mr J. Hodder. The Chairman and Mr Wolters ivere authorised to arrange for the appointment of a deputy judge. The Course Committee will meet on Wednesday, at 10 o'clock, to arrange details for the annual fixture. Arrangements for the appointment of a totalisator clerk were left in the hands of the Course Committee.
