THURSDAY CRICKET ASSOCIATION.

THIS SEASON'S FIXTURES

A meeting of the committee of the Masterton Thursday Cricket' Association was held last evening. There were present -Messrs G. Isaacs (chairman) and F. P. Welch (Carlton}, S. Edwards and J. Bradbury (Stars), H. Hall and J. Wilson (W.F.C.A.), and E. Collinge. Mr E. Collinge was appointed as proxy to act for the Star B team for the meeting. Donations of £1 Is each were received from Messrs A. W. Hogg, M.H.R., and W. B. Chennells. Votes of thanks were accorded to the donors. The following teams were nominated:—Carterton (2), W.F.C.A., Star (2), and Carlton. The Secretary stated that provision would have to be made for junior matches, as there was' not likely to be any junior competition this season. Mr Bradbury proposed that junior teams be allowed to bat fourteen and field eleven players against senior clubs. An amendment was moved by Mr Collinge that junior teams be allowed to bat fifteen and field twelve players against seniors. The amendment was carried. It was decided to commence the championship fixtures on October 24th provided the Oval is in readiness. Messrs Edwards, Hall and Isaacs were appointed a committee to control the Cup fixtures tor the season. The following are the fixtures for the first round: October 24th and 31st.—Carterton A v. Star B, at Carterton; W.F.C.A. v. Carlton, No. 1 wicket; Star A v. Carterton B. No. 2 wicket. November 7th and 21st.—W.F.C.A. v. Star B, No. 1 wicket; Star Av. Carterton A, at Carterton; Carterton B v. Carlton, No. 2 wicket. November 28th and December sth. W.F.C.A. v. Star A, No. 1 wickot; Carlton v. Star B, No. 2 wicket; Carterton A v. Carterton B, at Carterton. December 12th and 19th.—Carlton v. Carterton A, at Carterton; W.F.C.A. v. Carterton B, No. 1 wicket; Star B v. Star A, No 2 wicket. January 9th and 16th.—Star B v. Carterton B, No. 1 wicket; Carlton v. Star A, No. 2 wickot; W.F.C.A. v. Carterton A, al Carterton.
