SOUTH WAIRARAPA METHODIST CIRCUIT.
(From Our Carterton Correspondent.)
The quarterly meeting of the South Wairarapa Methodist Circuit was held at Greytown, on Thursday afternoon all the officials being present. The balance-sheet for the quarter showed 0 debit of £4O. It was decided tp forward a letter of condolence to Mrs Ordish and family in their recent bereavement. Invitations to stay in the , Circuit for another year were accepted by the Revs. W. J. Elliot and C. Blair. Mr J. S. Pepper was appointed Sunday School Inspector for the ensuing quarter. It was decided, owing to Mr Towill's resignation, that the services of a divinity student be obtained for the summer months, the services in the meantime to be taken by the Featherston local preachers. It was decided to apply to the next conference for a second probationer for Featherston. It was decided to hold the Circuit picnic on .November 9th at Featherston. At the close of business refreshments were provided by the ladies of the Greytown congregation.
