By- Tategraih-- Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 11. The draft programme of the Trentiam rifle meeting is now ready, and will be published a3 soon as approved of. The champion prize, with the Belt, is increased to £SO. A special match for rifle club men to be fired simultaneously with the Volunteer Match., has been added to the programme, but otherwise it is on the same lines as last year. ,If a team is required for Bisley, a special series of matches will be fired to decide its personnel. Competitors will be permitted to use the new wind-guage slide as provided by the Imperial War Office and used. at the last Bisley meeting. Some alterations will be made in the targets at the 200 yds and 300 yds. They will by 4ft by 4ft, bulls-eye 6in, inner l!>in, and magpie 24in. The inner is divided from the bulls-eye by a faint white line not visible to the firer. The range is in excellent order, and many improvements have been effected during the reee&s. The new wind-gauge slide is pro vided with two "V" notches, one for U3e with the leaf down arid one,for uie with the leaf up. The slide is joined to the elevation slide by means of a dovetail groove and is capable of being adjuoted laterally to albw for wind. A scale is marked on the back edge of the slide, each division of which gives an allowance of six inches per hundred yards. This sliding bar is undoubtedly of a very serviciable pattern. Adjustment Ms quick, easy, and certain, and it will fit on any back-sight of regulation size.
