The New Zealand football team which is visiting England with the object of playing matches against thirteens under the jurisdiction. of the Northern Union, opened their tour to-day at Bramley, Yorkshire. The visitors reached England a week ago, and have been in active practice. That they are in good form was amply evidenced by the easy manner in which they overcame their adversaries. A perfect ground made for fast play, and it was fast from beginning to end. From the kick-off the New. (The "All Blacks," who visited England in 1905, played their first match on September 16th against Devon, County, and won by 55 points to 4. The New Zealand team on that occasion was as follows:---Gillett, Wallace, Smith, Thomson, Stead, Hunter, Roberts, Gallaher, Casey, Tyler, Cunningham, O'Sulliivan, Nicholson, Sseling and Glasgow.)
The Manawatu Juniors defeated the Dannevirke Juniors, at Dannevirke, on Wednesday la*t, by 13 points to nil.
