OUR LONDON LETTER.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON, August 23. Mr, Mrs and the Misses Heale, v ho are in London just now, will have left for Paris before this letter is posted. They have had a very enjoyable time over here. From Paris they go on to Switzerland, and will spend the remainder of their time there, until they have to make tracks for Marseilles, to join the Moolton on September 6th. Mr Geo. F. Lindsay, of Auckland, came by the N. D. L. steamer Kleist, principally to visit relations and friends. He is only paying, flying visits to North Wales, and leaves for the Dominion by the Mamari in September. He will be accompanied home by his brother, Mr W. E. Lindsay, who is an ardent "Soccer" player, and well-known in West London football circles. Mr G. F. Lindsay was himself goalkeeper for the Auckland Y.M.C.A., and hopes to resume his place in the team next season, and to introduce his brother as a member. Mr and Mrs Joseph Raynes, of Auckland, are also in this City just now. They came by the Turakina on a pleasure trip, and have had a most enjoyable time touring in Ireland and Scotland. They are now off to Paris, and will make a short tour of the other Continental towns of interest. They will then return to London, spending a few weeks here, and will sail on October for the D minion, by the Tongariro. Another visitor to this city just now is Mr W. J. Roberts, of Christchurch. He came over by the Ccrinthic, which left New Zealand in May. Ha has been showing Mrs Roberts and his daughter round the Old Country, more especially Cornwall which is his native county.. September will be spent travelling round the South Coast, where they have friends to visit at Bournemouth, Brighton and other places adjoining, after which they come to London again. They will be in the Isle of Wight during the winter months, which will be followed by a trip to tne Continent. They expect to be over here about eighteen months. The Rev. J. M. Adcock, M.A., vicar of Temuka, came over with Mrs Adcock by the Oroya, and has be in spending his time principally in visiting relatives in Warwickshire and Cheshire. A fortnight ago he had the honor of lunching with the Archbishop of Canterbury and Mi's Davidson, at Lambeth Palace, and was shown over that most interesting and venerable pile by one of the chaplains. This week they commence a tour of the Cumberland Lake district. On their way back to; New Zealand tiey will break their journey in order to see something of the Holy Land and Egypt.
