OPAKI QUOITS CLUB.
(FromaQurOwn Correspondent). Despite the boisterous weather on Saturday, the men played the usual quoits match, but the ladies decided to hold their match at Mr Wyeth's •grounds next Saturday afternoon. In the men's match T. Wyeth, junr., was first, iNichalson second, and Tunnicliffe third. The ladies present , served tea, after which Mi?'S. "Tankersiey presented Mr J. Campbeli, junr., with Mr J. Cotter's tjophy. He also thanked the ladiestfwr 1 providing refreshments. A heartyjuote of thanks was accorded Messrs Hunt Bros., Foreman, D. McKenzie and G. Pain for their generosity in donating trophies for competition amongst the ladiep. It was decided that the men should commence play for Mr E. W. Pay ton's trophy.
