Received September 30, 8.6 a.m. MADRID, September 29. The Spanish province of Malaga, extending along the South Coast, has been visited by a terrible flood, which has resulted in considerable loss of life, and much damage being done. Information so far received in the capital sets down the deaths at 108. Twelve villages have been destroyed, and it is estimated that the number of persons rendered homeless by the flood approximates twelve thousand.

Received September 30, 10.29 p.m. - MADRID, September 30. The floods at Malaga occasioned damage amounting to £680,000.

Torrential rains in the South of France have swollen the rivers, causing terrible floods in the departments of Herault, Gard, Bouches-du-Rhone, Vaucluse, and Var. Traffic, is entirely suspended in some parts 1 , and greatly interrupted elsewhere. The Rhoj:e is still rising fa?t. Many people are imprisoned in their homes at Beziers and Agde, and are suffering from lack of food. The salvage corps rescued numbers by means of boats and pontoons. It is feared that there have been many deaths.

ENORMOUS LOSS OF WINE. TWO THOUSAND GRAPE-PICK-ERS HOMELESS. Received October 1, 12.5 a.m. PARIS, September 30. It is computed that ten million gallons of wine have been lost in Herault alone. Two thousand Agde. grape-pickers are homeless. On the plain at Florensac the flood was so sudden that numbers of vintagers had barely time to escape. M.
