CHRISTCHURCH Y.M.C.A.

BUILDING FUND. CHRISTCHURCH, September 28. In connection with the Y.M.C.A. building movement and the Gordon Hall Trust Fund the following authoritative statement was made to a Press reporter to-day:—The trustees of the Gordon Boys' Hall Trust have £IO,OOO at their disposal. They consider that the best means of achieving the object Sir John Hall had in view is to unite with the present movement initiated by the Y.M.C.A. by giving that Association the use of £5,000 of the moneys available, in the event of £15,000 (including tto £5,000) being collected. Arrangements are being made to ensure that the boys will have the right over a portion of the premises to be erected. The trustees have power to donate any part of the £IO,OOO, and can give any part of it to the Y.M.C.A. if it is thought to be in the best interests of the boys to do so.
